Education Ministry on Monday told all centrally-funded education institutions (IITs, NITs, CUs, IIITs, etc) to postpone offline exams scheduled this month. This decision is taken after seeing the surge in the Covid-19 cases in the Second Wave of Coronavirus. Online exams, however, may continue.
Meanwhile, many educational institutes including Delhi University has postponed the final year examination. Delhi University announced on Monday that the Exams for Final Year which was scheduled to be held on 15 May is now scheduled to 1 June.
Dean Examinations of Delhi University, Diwan Rawat said that the decision was taken following a meeting attended by all deans and chaired by the acting vice-chancellor. He also said that the most immediate factor for postponement of exams was the large no. of Covid-19 cases.
